Story

The founder of the Amazing cacao company, Olga Yarovikova, opened a conceptual restaurant and coffee shop “THEOBROMA” in the northern capital, and everything in it — from dishes and drinks to the interior — is dedicated to chocolate, cacao and its close biological relatives in all their gastronomic diversity.

The restaurant is designed in a classic French style: after all, it was in France during the time of Louis XIV that the fashion for chocolate arose. One of the walls of the saloon is decorated with a huge fresco - a copy of the famous painting by Jean-Baptiste Charpentier “A Cup of Chocolate” (“Family of the Duc de Penthièvre”), the original of which is kept in Versailles. The spacious premises of the restaurant are divided into two zones: one contains bright dining rooms with elegant tables and soft armchairs.

The other is a coffee shop where you can have a cup cocoa or hot chocolate, copoazu and sorrel lemonade or Affogato with hot chocolate topping, lemon myrtle and elderflower-infused gin, one can order desserts on the spot or take away. For instance, poppy seed cake with raspberries, Bavarian vanilla cream and white chocolate. Amazing cacao chocolate bars are also sold here.

Olga Yarovikova is a founder of Amazing cacao company. She is the country's leading expert in the field of chocolate. When her company, which supplied food ingredients, was left with 7 tons of unclaimed cacao beans due to force majeure in 2015, Amazing cacao has come a long way and grown into a unique high-tech full-cycle Bean-to-bar production facility. (Means “From a cacao bean to a chocolate bar”).

Under Olga’s leadership, since 2018, Amazing cacao has won gold, silver and bronze medals at the International Chocolate Awards not only for hot chocolate, chocolate bars in various categories, but also for bonbons based on the chocolate they produce.

Alexander Zuev is a chef of Theobroma restaurant. He worked in Europe and in many famous projects in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Amazing cacao are the only ones who work with so many species of the Theobroma genus, which makes the project unique. But it is not enough to have an exclusive product available; you need to have the right approach to introducing it into dishes.
I use zero waste and fermentation to create new flavor combinations centered around the Theobroma family. In this way, we highlight their conceptual importance.
In addition, we place special emphasis on seasonality and locality of products that are integrated into the menu.
Amazing Cacao
Amazing cacao is the only company in the world that works with four species of the genus Theobroma; Such a variety of beans, each type of which has its own unique bouquet, allows you to obtain the widest range of tastes and aromas without the use of artificial flavors. The Amazing cacao product line includes more than two dozen types of chocolate made from organic cacao beans from Peru, Ecuador, India, Congo, Uganda and Nicaragua, which Olga personally selects.

The brand's products are sold in many countries around the world – from China to the USA; they are used by pastry chefs and chocolatiers of leading Russian restaurants.
The company’s pride is Copoazu bean(beans of Theobroma grandiflorum), known as “Brazilian cacao”, with their unique aroma of tropical fruits: no one works with Copoazu in Europe!
